New Trauma Training Courses

WAVE in partnership with Open Learning, School of Education, Queen’s University, Belfast will be delivering short trauma-focused courses on a range of issues such as traumatic loss and grief, addiction, psychological trauma and trauma and the body.  These 20hour courses are accredited at Level 1 and will be offered throughout all WAVE Centres in Northern Ireland from September 2017.

WAVE also offers a BSc Hons Degree in Psychological Trauma Studies with School of Nursing and Midwifery at QUB.  This four year part-time programme includes modules such as Intergenerational Trauma, Treatment Modalities, Transition from Victimhood and International Responses to Trauma. This programme will be open for recruitment in June 2017.

University College Cork, in partnership with WAVE will be offering an online Postgraduate Diploma in Trauma Studies in January 2018.  This two year programme of study will provide students with the opportunity to explore areas such as trauma and family system, complex and ambiguous loss, posttraumatic growth and resiliency and trauma and victimology.
