Successful applicants must possess a Degree/Diploma qualification in Community Youth Work (or equivalent qualification relevant to meeting the needs of young people and the organisation) and a minimum of 1 year’s experience working directly with young people in a youth work setting or a minimum of 5 years experience working directly with young people. They must also have experience of assessing need, designing and implementing programmes, evaluating outcomes and experience of managing a budget and ability to write funding applications as required.
As these posts involve travel within urban and rural areas and between our respective centres, applicants must have access to a car with appropriate business insurance. (This criteria will be waived in the case of an applicant whose disability prohibits driving but who is able to demonstrate an appropriate alternative means of meeting the mobility requirements of the post).
WAVE offers an attractive benefits package to include 23 days annual leave in addition to 11 statutory days, an employer pension contribution of 8%, training opportunities and mileage payable at the rate of 0.40p per mile.
